Our Discovery Agent technology replaces traditional forms and manual processes with intelligent conversational AI that gathers requirements, processes documents, and designs custom automation solutions. We're at the early stage of transforming how operations teams work, helping companies save 30-80 hours per week through intelligent automation.

The Role

We're seeking a Senior AI Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of our AI automation platform. This is a foundational role where you'll architect the core systems that power our Discovery Agent, document processing pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration platform. You'll work directly with the founder to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and build the infrastructure that will scale to serve hundreds of clients.

This is an individual contributor role with significant autonomy and impact. You'll be the technical decision-maker for our AI/ML stack, infrastructure, and architecture.

What You'll Do

Phase 1: Architecture & Foundation (Months 1-3)

 Design the technical architecture for our multi-agent AI platform

o Discovery Agent conversation system

o Document processing pipeline (OCR, data extraction, validation)

o Agent orchestration and workflow engine

o Integration framework (TMS, WMS, ERP, accounting systems)

 Define the technology stack

o AI/ML frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or alternatives)

o Cloud infrastructure (Azure AI Search, GCP Document AI, AWS optional)

o Data storage and vector databases

o API architecture and integration patterns

 Create technical specifications

o System design documents

o API specifications

o Data models and schemas

o Security and compliance requirements (SOC 2, GDPR)

 Build proof-of-concepts

o Validate technical approaches

o Test integration patterns

o Benchmark performance and cost

Phase 2: Implementation Support (Months 4-9)

 Guide implementation team

o Technical reviews and architecture decisions

o Code reviews and best practices

o Performance optimization

 Scale the platform

o Multi-tenancy architecture

o Performance optimization

o Cost management

o Security hardening

Phase 3: Team Leadership (Months 10+, if converting to full-time)

 Build and lead the engineering team

o Hire additional engineers

o Establish engineering practices

o Technical mentorship

Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills

 5+ years of software engineering experience with focus on AI/ML systems

 Deep experience with LLM-based applications

o LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks

o Prompt engineering and LLM optimization

o Vector databases and semantic search

o RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

 Production experience with:

o Node.js + TypeScript OR Python (ideally both)

o REST APIs and microservices architecture

o Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or AWS)

o Database design (SQL and NoSQL)

 Document processing expertise

o OCR and document intelligence (Azure AI, GCP Document AI, or similar)

o Data extraction and validation

o Structured data generation from unstructured sources

 Integration experience

o API design and development

o Third-party system integration

o Authentication and security (OAuth, JWT)

Nice-to-Have Skills

 Experience with logistics/supply chain systems (TMS, WMS, ERP)

 NestJS framework experience

 Multi-agent systems and orchestration

 Experience with Azure AI Services (Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence)

 Background in workflow automation or RPA

 Experience building B2B SaaS products

 Understanding of SOC 2 compliance and enterprise security
