About the Role
We’re a sports betting analytics platform running on a Laravel/React stack. We’re looking for a Laravel developer to build out our internal back-office into a fully functional CRM. The foundation exists (Laravel + Filament admin panel), but we need someone to take ownership of completing existing features and building new ones.
This is execution-focused work — you’ll be building features in an existing codebase, not redesigning the foundation. You’ll be shipping features weekly.
What You’ll Build
- Permission Based Options- granular control over what can be accessed by internal users/employees
- Client record actions — Click into a customer record to trigger emails, view transaction history (Stripe), see email delivery status, manage their account, view internal currency balances
- Customer lifecycle tracking — Visibility into where customers are in their journey — first purchase, active, at-risk, churned — with the ability to act on each segment (targeted outreach, point refunds, retention offers)
- Client performance reporting — Build the ability to export and analyze client win/loss records at a granular level. We need to see who’s winning, who’s losing, what their percentages are across different sports, signal types, and time periods. This data needs to be exportable and queryable so we can segment customers by performance and inform both retention strategy and sales outreach
- CRM integration — Connect the back-office to a CRM platform (PipeDrive, HubSpot, or similar — open to recommendations) so customer records, sales activity, and communication history live in one place rather than being managed manually
- Data views and dashboards — Purchasers, leads, subscriptions, internal currency balances, Stripe transaction history — viewable, searchable, and actionable; much of this has already been built it's just a matter of fine tuning
- Filament resource buildout — Complete existing skeleton resources and add new ones as needed
- Infrastructure and cost optimization — Audit current AWS resource usage and identify what’s over-provisioned, misconfigured, or unnecessary.
- Tracking audit and cleanup — Review and fix existing Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and conversion tracking implementations. Some tracking is working, some is broken, some is poorly implemented. We need clean, reliable event tracking across the full purchase funnel — from ad click through checkout — so we can accurately attribute revenue to marketing spend
- Queue workers and job management — Optimize and maintain Laravel queue workers handling background jobs (data processing, notifications, scheduled tasks). Ensure jobs are reliable, properly monitored, and not wasting server resources
- Sports data API optimization — We pull from third-party sports data APIs for odds, scores, and game information. This pipeline needs ongoing optimization — efficient polling, caching, error handling, and minimizing unnecessary API calls to control costs and improve reliability
Requirements
- Strong Laravel experience (3+ years preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Filament PHP admin panels
- Comfortable with role-based permissions (Spatie, Filament Shield, or similar)
- Experience integrating with CRM platforms (PipeDrive, HubSpot, or similar) via API
- Experience with Stripe — webhooks, transaction lookups, subscription management, payment link creation
- AWS infrastructure experience — ability to audit and optimize EC2, RDS, S3, and related services for cost efficiency
- Security-minded — experience building permission-based membership/access tier systems and protecting sensitive customer data
- Experience implementing and debugging Meta Pixel, GA4, and conversion tracking across purchase funnels
- Comfortable with Laravel queues, job management, and background processing
- Works independently — you’ll get requirements, not hand-holding
- Solid debugging skills (you’ll inherit some incomplete work)
Nice to Have
- Background in SaaS or subscription-based platforms
- Experience building reporting and data export tools (client performance analytics, win/loss tracking)
- Familiarity with sports betting or data-heavy product platforms
- Experience with AWeber or similar email marketing platform integrations
