Where We’ve Come From
We first launched Arc in 2019 as a platform that connected a network of great pre-vetted developers with clients hiring remotely. Since then, we’ve received messages from developers who landed amazing jobs through Arc that allowed them to have a better quality of life. And we knew that this wasn’t just a trend — this was revolutionary.
Since then, of course, the world has changed. While remote work has grown in popularity, and been accelerated by the pandemic, actually finding permanent remote jobs and getting hired is still a major obstacle. So we decided to fix this.
Introducing Arc 2.0
Today our team is launching the next step in the evolution of Arc as a new, more open remote career platform.
The new Arc combines all the world’s remote developer jobs, open to all developers, and with the community support you need to be successful.
What does this mean?
We’re building the world’s best remote job search experience
Arc aggregates jobs from 13,000+ companies hiring remotely around the web, with more added every day, and actively recommends jobs you’re the best fit for. This saves you time by identifying opportunities that are a good fit for you, instead of having to navigate through a thousand browser tabs just to find one relevant opportunity.
Basically: you simply sign up, fill in your profile to tell us what you’re looking for, and start getting job recommendations delivered to you. You can also use Arc to narrow your recommendations further, e.g. by exclusively seeing jobs from partners hiring through Arc.
We’re helping developers stand out to hiring managers
Landing a remote job has always been tough. We’re trying to make it easier. Once you pass Arc’s one-time verification process (previously called the vetting process), you get fast-tracked to interviews as well as hands-on recruitment support from the Arc team.
(For Arc’s partners seeking to hire developers, it’s easier to hire when you are presented with a pre-vetted final candidate pool. We’ve done the hard work so you don’t have to.)
We’re giving remote developers access to career support
Landing the job is only step one. Continual growth and support is the key to a long and successful remote career. So we’re also building a remote work developer community where you can share experiences, swap tips, and network for career success.
To make the job hunt go more smoothly, we’ve also launched the new Arc Elevate program, just finishing up our first cohort this month. Elevate was created as a hands-on job search support program that helps first-time remote developers make the jump to remote work, including career preparation workshops, developer-to-developer interview practice, and live mentorship sessions from experienced remote developers.
Why? We believe that going remote does not mean going at it alone.
