Summary

I am a Physics Phd with two years and a half of experience in Data Science. I worked in a startup in the medical area doing deep data analysis and machine learning models to optimize the outcome of Photobiomodulation Therapy and find patterns in data. Now, I am working in a R,D&I (Research, Development and Innovation) project to predict by several methods if there will be a defect in power transformers by using Machine Learning Techniques. This project has been granted by ANEEL and potentially will save millions of dollars of the company anually. I also have three publications in the international journals concerning data science.

I am engaged with a data science project related to predicting defects in power transformers. The goal of the project is to predict with some days of antecedence if there will a be a failure in some power transformers by using machine learning techniques, such as classification and anomaly detection, and domain knowledge. The project can potentially save millions of dollars annually of the Company by adopting this machine learning approach.

In this work, I analyzed medical data and performed deep data analysis and some machine learning models to optimize the outcome of Photobiomodulation Therapy and improve life quality of patients. Mainly, I performed analysis to find the best features of the patients that got a good result from the therapy, as well as statistical analysis to find patterns in clinical studies. Some machine learning techniques have been used to find relevant features of the treatment outcome and clustering methods to find similarities between patients.
