While working to learn web development, I focused the majority of my efforts on JavaScript, especially AngularJS due to its popularity. From there, I went on to focus on NodeJS and learned how to build full stack web applications using JavaScript. 

The majority of articles that I have published deal with JavaScript and I am fully confident in my abilities to not only write programs using JS, but I am also confident in my ability to effectively teach others how to use the language.

I am extremely proficient in not only HTML, but also tools such as Emmet which allow me to automate the process of scaffolding out web pages. In regards to CSS, I have used my background in Graphic Design to learn a great deal about web design. I am highly proficient in CSS, however I mostly opt to write Sass CSS due to the power I believe it gives developers.

Extremely fond of the NodeJS engine and work to continue growing my knowledge of it with each day that passes. When working with Node, I am fully capable of wiring up fairly-complex backends using a system of npm modules. Specifically, I am highly proficient at creating APIs using the M.E.A.N. stack technologies.

In addition to experience with Express, I also have used frameworks like Koa, and Hapi. Simply put, the time I dedicated towards learning how NodeJS (and node modules) were to be used helped me establish a deep knowledge of backend development, specifically with JavaScript. 

Highly proficient with the Git VCS system. Produced a video on using Mercurial with BitBucket in July of 2016. I am a regular contributor to open-source projects. Simply put, I have learned so much from my mistakes in the past, and one of the many results of this was a firm understanding of Git, the history behind it, and how it works.

After spending a few months studying OO JS, I decided to focus my attention on learning AngularJS due to its popularity, and succeded in doing so. Since that time, I have a built a number of SPA using the framework, and eventually went on to learn the entire M.E.A.N. stack.

I have built dozens of layouts using bootstrap. When combined with my knowledge of Emmet, I can quickly scaffold out web pages in no time. I understand how to work with the bootstrap-sass variables, and I have a great knowledge of bootstrap's classes that I can use without having to reference any documentation (unless absolutely necessary)!

The Ember framework has been one of my main areas of focus over the past 24 months. I think that it is an extremely powerful framework, and I believe that the ember-cli makes the development process easier than ever. That said, I have worked on contracted projects with EmberJS, and I even created a video series on Ember 2.0 for SitePoint Premium that spanned from the November 2015 through the beginning of 2016.

Although I am still waiting for the production build to be released, I have already established a great deal of knowledge on Angular 2.0 and I have worked to understand its inner workings. I have published content teaching readers how to use Angular 2. My first article was published on SitePoint.com in November of 2015, and showed readers how to configure Angular 2 to work with ES5. Additionally, I published an article on Scotch.io in April of 2015, Creating Your First Angular Component, which consists of over 5000 words and discusses topics such as nesting components, Dependency Injection, Services in Angular2, and more!

I have worked to be a part of a few different open-source projects that are built using the Angular 2 framework which you can check out on my GitHub.

I have an advanced knowledge of building applications with ReactJS. It's currently primary tool of choice! Additionally, I have a very strong grasp on building application's with Redux-style architecture and I have even published a series of tutorials on building application's with Redux for JScrambler.com
