I am a professional software developer with a deep passion for Android development, having been writing Android code since 2010. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a lifelong journey in coding that began in 1996, I’ve always been captivated by the craft of writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
I firmly believe that code can—and should—be both enjoyable and well-structured. There’s a right way to approach development, from the architecture to the final product. When code is elegant, readable, and thoughtfully designed, it transforms the process into something truly rewarding. On the flip side, poorly written, unmaintainable code can be a real burden. My goal is always to elevate development practices and ensure that the work is not only functional but gratifying for the team and the users.
Work Experience
I developed a high-visibility app for a pharmaceutical company using Jetpack Compose, focusing on UI/UX also debugging recomposition and increasing performance. This helped the client enter a competitive landscape, challenging a major player and continually increasing user satisfaction and revenue growth.
I re-wrote a Xamarin app in Kotlin for a multi-billion dollar fitness company, ensuring high stability and on-time delivery. This positioned the brick and mortar client for the post-pandemic shift in their business model, enabling them to remain relevant in their industry.
Contributed to refactoring a high-traffic app with over a million users from Java to Kotlin, boosting developer morale and productivity while enhancing app stability.
I rebuilt Android and iOS apps from scratch, achieving a 99% crash-free rates. I learned and used Swift 1.0 up to Swift 3, while also collaborating with backend teams to build key API Rails endpoints for ordering food and viewing menus. My cross-functional work saved the company money by not having to bring on new hires.
I managed a team of mobile engineers developing a point-of-sale app that consolidated payment solutions, saving time and money for the company and clients by eliminating the need and hassle of integrating multiple payment systems.
Led Android and iOS enhancements, ultimately driving the app store rating to over 4.5 stars.
