Software Engineer

* Frontend development for an Admin portal that serves as the back office
management for fintech services.
* Introducing new tooling ( react-query , react-hook-form, msw ) to eliminate
pain points in handling server-side data, form management and mocking APIs.
* Encouraged good API documentation practices and implemented type and
client generation tools to and simplify interactions with backend services.

* Primary frontend developer responsible for maintaining the product "Shell Fleet Assistant" (React and Typescript project). The application helps fleet owners plan and manage their truck routes.
* Migrated google maps to Here maps. This involved creating React compatible API wrappers for the DOM bases APIs of Here maps.
* Delivered key features like Live tracking and Vehicle data sync.
* Integrated and managed various third party services including Lokalise (for localization), Sinch (for SMS) and Zendesk (for customer support)

Frontend Developer

● Contributed to KnitUI, a UI component library by implementing components and
helping define standards. This was used for internal development, improving
productivity and the visual design of the product.
● Maintained the core frontend application and rebuilt “Custom Dimensions”, that
solved several design limitations from the original implementation allowing
greater productivity for end customers.

I have been part of the following projects/teams during my employment at PayPal: Merchant Reporting : Global expansion of Monthly Statements, Launched Custom Statements. Challenges.Inherited and ramped up on a vast system involving several components (over 10) and various technical stacks (Javascript, Java, C++, NodeJS, Backbone). Handling several critical production issues. Dealing with infrastructure level problems. Resolution Center Experiences: Built the UI and the front end application for resolving transaction related disputes. Challenges: Learning and keeping up with the modern web technology stack (React, ES6, Webpack). Adopting an early version of an internal framework and working out the irregularities and nuances. Merchant Onboarding Services: Fixed the functional test automation suite of the mid-tier onboarding service. After the effort, the test suites were green giving us greater confidence on our releases. Challenges: Large number of tests cases (~600 test case files) required creating scripts to parse and process test data files.

Software Development Engineer

Student

Built a performance monitoring interactive dashboard for a ~180 node Druid production cluster. The dashboard allowed developers to drill down to the root cause of the problems that were causing their Druid queries to run slower. Learnt about distributed systems, Druid, Server development with NodeJS, AngularJS, visualization libraries like D3 and NVD3.

Software Developer Intern

Learned about the data technologies in Aadhar project. The pros and cons of architectural and technology decisions made (primarily NoSQL vs SQL). Also created a toy project to mimic the Aadhar system to acquire hands on experience on the technologies used (Hadoop, Pentaho, MySQL)

I've used React in the industry to build admin tools as portals for business consumers. Most of them were React SPAs.
I had also worked extensively on an in-house react component library (https://github.com/clarisights/KnitUI)

 I have put strong emphasis on improving code quality and developer productivity by leveraging Typescript, type generation from Open API schemas, and testing employing mocks and fixtures.


Typescript is my primary language and I have worked with it for the greater majority of my career. I can leverage advanced Typescript concepts to create well defined and widely reusable types and minimize duplication of types.

I've built and Maintained server side application of key products like the Merchant Reporting portal and Resolution center at PayPal. 

Also contributed to the feature development, refactoring and performance improvements of a fintech application at Z-Tech (Ab-Inbev) built in Koa

Maintained a Nest JS service which was meant to serve as an API gateway for an investing app.


I have used Python primarily as a utility language to solve problems problems quickly and to quickly process and analyze data with pandas. I've used Jupyter notebooks to communicate key results. I've also built REST API microservices for an investing platform.

* Worked on large scale enterprise Java applications at PayPal like Merchant Onboarding and Merchant Reporting at PayPal.

Worked with a complex OLAP system for storing financial reporting data at PayPal with Enterpreise Oracle. The role required to be able to understand, use and modify schemas keeping in mind the performance and usability factors.
Worked on tuning performance of some processes by batching operations using a MongoDB database.
