Summary

I'm a developer who has been programming since around the age of 14. I started out with Python then in high school took some programming classes in Visual Basic and Java. When I entered college I went straight to the Computer Science program where I learned a ton about computers and how they work. After school my first job was as an Engineer using Python then later I was on a team where I was 50% Data Engineer (Hortonworks stack) and 50% developer (still using Python). Currently I work at Target as Senior Engineer working on an event driven supply chain application. Our stack is Postgres, Java (or Kotlin/Groovy) with SpringBoot, and React for our front end user interface.

For a while the MetroTransit transportation system didn't really have a good way to get information easily that catered to people who were frequent riders. It was hard to find and use their real time bus location system as well as get other information about a stop or route. One had to text a number to get departures or look up the info on a different site to see alerts. I created this fully progressive site to get bus locations, departures, and rider alerts in as few click as possible.
