As a full-stack developer, I work alongside my team to develop, build and maintain a number of APIs used across WestJet Digital. The APIs I work with are primarily built in Node.js, using supporting frameworks and packages where needed. We are also responsible for the CI/CD pipelines, both on-premise and cloud deployments (Azure app service and k8s). We also maintain and monitor our own infrastructure and deployments, to ensure as close to 100% uptime as possible. At the moment I especially enjoy working with two of our APIs, that use neo4j and GraphQL to solve unique scheduling challenges, among others.

I offer mentoring to students working through the Code Institute full stack and Advanced FrontEnd courses. Aside from offering technical support, I also help students plan projects, portfolios. I also offer advice on post-course employment, support and encouragement through what can be a very tough course to complete!
