I am a big fan of using docker to package and ship applications. I start my dockerfiles with an ubuntu:latest base image. The instructions written in the dockerfile are commands run in the Ubuntu terminal. Additionally, all of the digital ocean servers I am running are Ubuntu servers.

I use dockerfiles to define the environments for the applications I develop. Additionally, I deploy docker containers use docker-machine, which allows me to deploy docker containers using a variety of drivers, including virtual box and digital ocean. For cloud architectures with linked services, I use docker-compose to connect my desired containers and use docker-compose scale to distribute among docker hosts. 

I spent two years working as a quantitative investment analyst- using statistical methods to analyze and manage risk in client portfolios.

My experience with MongoDB started with taking the introductory course offered by MongoDB University ( https://university.mongodb.com/ ). Since then, I have used MongoDB ( and mongoose for defining schema logic in my Express.js applications ) as the database for my RESTful APIs. 

Use Git to manage collaborative projects with version control needs.

As a full-stack developer, I use Node.js to write server and desktop (Electron) applications, as well as have written NPM libraries and CLI tools for testing and productivity.

I've been using HTML/CSS for building websites for 4 years. Additionally, I have experience using a variety of html pre-processor engines for Express.js (jade, ejs, react.js).



I started using JavaScript for client-side scripting, now using JavaScript for full-stack development.

Recently have switched my front-end framework from Angular 1.x to React components and redux. Finding functional reactive programing (FRP) fun!

When writing applications using React components, I use Redux to manage my application's state. 

By using the react-redux (https://github.com/reactjs/react-redux) library, I connect my React Components to my reducers states; allowing for what Dan Abramov (the creator of Redux) describes as 'smart' components-- components that can subscribe to state changes, and re-render as a new state change is dispatched.

I have written decentralized applications on the Ethereum blockchain for my own start-up, Venture Equity Exchange, and for Consensus Systems LLC (ConsenSys).

I have also contributed tests to the Solidity programming language for fixed-point types and have written decentralized applications using the Solidity language. Applications include an exchange using the standard token specification EIP20 (https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/20).

I have setup private Ethereum blockchains, built decentralized applications using light-wallets and the MetaMask provider, build raw-transaction APIs for creation of raw RLP-encoded transaction data.
