Technical Project Manger for building a new Business Intelligence 'Run the Bank' system for Compensation and Benefits (MIDAS - Market and Information Data Administration System). The system was instrumental in realigning bonus payouts with company policy from board level down. Rolled-out across Europe, North America and Far East, and subsequently to other divisions globally, including divisions outside the investment bank (eg. Asset Management, Retail Banking etc.) Technology: Intranet web portal interfacing to Peoplesoft internal database, with a backend in Oracle and feeds from external market data with front-end reporting in Business Objects and WebIntelligence.

I have been involved in a number of Rails projects both large and small but lately have fallen in love with crafting rails apis using AMS and the JSON-API spec.

I rely heavily on Bootstrap, so outside of that I would probably hit some walls.

I understand RDBMS like Dumbledore understands magic. I can tune most SQL to make it faster. I understand joins, table scans, TNF, page tables, indexes, constraints, triggers, transactions, stored procs, views, functions, replication, failovers, clustering, mirroring, reporting, BI/analytics, data warehousing/olap.

I've used a number of SQL databases and some NoSQL (like MongoDB and Redis) so my DB tech knowledge is quite broad in terms of which databases I've used. My strongest areas are SQL-Server, Postgres and designing databases, but also writing raw SQL.
