Tech Lead

As a Visiting Researcher at Risk Analytics Lab in Dalhousie University, I was working on 
 exploiting parallelism in the construction process of Vantage Point Trees* on multi-core systems and then scale them on to  improve Barnes-Hut-SNE, a dimensionality reduction technique to large  vectors.

*Vantage Point Tree is a Binary Space Partitioning data structure widely used in partitioning metric spaces.

Visiting Researcher

- As a member of Editorial team of AOL CoolAge,which is a subsidiary media body of Huffington Post, one had to edit articles posted by Associate Bloggers and respond with appropriate feedback. - CoolAge is a platform for Indian college students to voice their opinion.

As a summer intern at NeST, I worked on 3D Reconstruction and Space Modelling using Point Cloud Library and Microsoft Kinect on a GPU Platform

- Developed a framework for reconstruction of 3D objects and their  modelling using image processing algorithms to iteratively stitch  multiple three dimensional scenes together to form a 3D model.
- It is based on Nearest Neighbour Search based vision algorithms like the Iterative Closest
Points algorithm (ICP) to achieve real-time capabilities on GPUs.
-  This system is highly useful for modelling internal spacing of  buildings and object prototypes.Since it is a heterogenous system, it  could be run of CPU as well as on GPU.

Summer Research Intern

I've worked with telemetry data received from sensors and analysed them for insights.

I have experience working at an IoT based Energy Analytics company. This gave me an opportunity to work with Pandas - a data analytics library and Twisted - a networking library in Python.
