I am currently using React in a medium-scale long-term project and closely follow the React ecosystem.

I use JavaScript in all of my projects and maintain a sizeable number of Node.js modules on NPM. I prefer CommonJS over AMD and prefer package.json scripts over task runners like Grunt or Gulp. I have a thorough understanding of modern JavaScript and upcoming additions to the ECMAScript specification. I currently consider JavaScript my primary language.

I maintain a large number of Node.js modules on NPM and use Node.js as a server-side environment in a number of projects. I also use browserify (which emulates a Node.js environment in the browser) for most of my client-side code. I prefer Gulp over Grunt.

I taught myself HTML 4, XHTML and XML as a teenager by reading the W3C specs. My participation in the open discussions of the standards working groups landed my name in the official HTML standard's acknowledgements. I've always been interested in web accessibility and web standards since, although my approach has become more pragmatic over the years.

I'm a core maintainer of the open-source multi-model NoSQL database ArangoDB and lead maintainer of its JavaScript driver and its microservice framework "Foxx". I am using ArangoDB in production and have prior experience with CouchDB and MongoDB.
