Rails expertise from version 2.0 up to 4.2

Over the past years have used most of the AWS services to scale the SOA infrastructure at work. Examples: delivering assets via CDN to improve browser load times, making sure AWS policies are in place to restrict users permissions on resources, using RDS to create DBs supporting multi-zone, etc..

A very good Elasticsearch knowledge around indexing and searching, especially with scripting. Today we send thousands of queries with groovy multi-line scripts squeezed into one-liners that perform calculations on millions of documents at less than 100ms.

Good understanding of entity modelling on a ORM

Currently at work we handle a big SOA infrastructure which we have had more than once build and document several APIs. I'm a big fan of Hypermedia APIs and I strongly believe this should be the industry standard.

I've also implemented multiple authentication systems, either simple auth token based OR consuming OAuth providers.

Good knowledge of index and query optimisation, DBA configuration

Have created and maintained a few gems, and well this is the language used by Ruby on Rails which I use every day.

I've done a lot of front end work using javascript ranging from typical event handling, to animations via jquery, up to integrating with google places and maps APIs.

Since university SQL has been a topic of interest. I think I can offer any advise or help to creating from the most simple to complex queries using groups, joins, variables, etc..

I've done multiple front end work for company friends, ranging from simple static websites to full feature rails apps. 

Git is not an easy tool, but once mastered is super powerful. I've built a gem that extends some git functionality! Check it out git-whistles.

Redis is a great and fast persistent storage which I've used multiple times mostly to create cache systems

I have a good knowledge of this language due to Elasticsearch scripting

I've built a few websites for friends and family using bootstrap. I've also tweaked a few times some its variables to move away from the horrible blue. 

I've used jQuery multiple times to handle complex animations and keep things DRY

Pretty much the only test framework I've used in all my ruby projects. Only because I think it's the most adequate in terms of verbosity and its DSL. 

I've used backbone in a medium-sized project to avoid spaghetti javascript code in the views.
