I spent many years acquiring the knowledge to be a programmer through self-learning and really struggled with some important concepts. What really helped me figure things out and get to a point where I could program professionally was a friend of mine who mentored me through my challenges. For the last 2-3 years I've been programming full-time and having a blast!

I understand the struggles that self-taught programmers go through, as well as the complex challenges that more experienced developers deal with. I particularly excel at Blockchain/Web3, React, Typescript, and Cypress automated end-to-end testing but I also have knowledge of full stack using Express, AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS, Terraform, Mongo, and others.

I love being a fresh set of eyes on a problem and provide kind and friendly guidance to solve problems as well as mentor junior developers to build their confidence and help them climb the development ladder. Many problems can be solved in less than 15 minutes with a fresh pair of eyes!

In addition to problem solving I enjoy longer term engagements where I can get to know a student better and watch them grow from basic programming knowledge all the way to landing their first job.
