Data Warehouse Analyst

Gathered requirements for extensions to Airtime Sales Data Warehouse, specified new tables and enhanced existing ones and specified ETL logic additions and changes. Modelled, designed, and built a tactical stopgap single-user system for Airtime Sales Reconciliations. Successfully argued for replacement of Hyperion-based Forecasting system with RDBMS-based alternative. Specified the database design and ETL for this, both of which were then implemented and achieved a nightly batch duration of just 5 minutes.

BI Lead Modeller / Analyst

Carried out data mapping from NatWest Behavioural Scoring systems to RBS systems.  Developed two sophisticated standing data maintenance tools in Microsoft Access Visual Basic. Conceived and led Data Repository Team, providing documentation and guidance in the area of database structure, SQL, stored procedures, standing data maintenance. Used ERwin to produce data model for Basel 2 Securitisation Reporting, then for Basel 2 Reporting Data Mart as a whole. Designed flexible Oracle reference data maintenance application to allow users to view and alter a Data Mart’s reference data; new tables could be brought on board without the need for a code change. Gave presentation to Analyst Special Interest Group on “Database Design: Meaning, Logic, and the RDBMS”.

Analyst

Proficient in SQL. Experience with a variety of DBMS's, from SQL Server to Netezza to Oracle. Writing queries to meet any and all requirements, including highly complex ones. Writing stored procedures, including T-SQL stored procedures. Writing queries tailored to data extraction and intended for use as Informatica source qualifiers.
