Lead and managed development of MTVN's media player platform, incorporating DRM, enterprise ad logic, live streaming, automatic quality switching, syndication and re-branding. Lead development of media player products including MTV Overdrive, VH1 VSpot, and Comedy Central Motherload. As of February 2009, MTVN’s media player served over 300 million streams a month making it the #2 most-watched player on the internet after YouTube.

I've been using python to build web applications and for scripting since 2001. I first started working with Zope and Plone CMS. Now, I build everything I can using Django. Django has been my go-to framework for about 10 years. I've scaled large applications using django, built custom dashboards, admins and all sorts of tools with it. Since I use python for a majority of my scripting needs, I also have a good deal of experience hacking things together like data parsers, website scrapers, IM bots, etc.

React is a wonderful framework for getting things done, specially with a large team where conventions keep code manageable. Great community support and documentation help avoid roadblocks. I'm very well versed in building applications with React, its conventions and the component lifecycle. I have a strong understanding of Redux conventions and usage. I can help debug webpack configs as well.

I've created and maintained a multitude of web app depoyments over the years. Whatever it takes to deploy a web site or web app, I've done it: Ubuntu, nginx, uwsgi, gunicorn, MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, Redis, python, django, PHP, Apache, etc.

I've written several JavaScript applications that implement WebSockets to perform communication with either a web server or local desktop application.

Built tons of scraping scripts over the years for various projects and and applications. The largest usage was for theplist.com which scrapes over 2,000 car listing sites to create custom email alerts for users.
