I can build themes from scratch and build simple plugins.  I am am an avid user of WooCommerce and love using WordPress as a CMS.  I know the ins and outs of harnessing both the front and back end of WordPress.

Although I specialize in WooCommerce, I have experience with almost all of the ecommerce plugins available and encourage and help clients move on to WooCommerce.

I have been working on several projects either directly in the front-end developer position or with teams of developers to see completion of simple websites and complex web applications.


A one of the first individuals to embrace responsive design, I have been steadily building responsive sites even before powerful frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation came to life.  My experiences with responsive design include creating responsive layouts in the various design programs (Photoshop, Sketch, Axure) and creating either my own responsive grids or using pre-existing frameworks.

I have been dissecting and reassembling HTML and CSS since 1999.  Back then the internet was all tables and frames, but I have surfed through the different eras of web design from xhtml to HTML5 and CSS1 to 3.  I have moved recently into using responsive frameworks to take a lot of the guessing work out of grid systems and pride myself on the ability to call out dimensions and font sizes without using inspect element.

My PHP knowledge is mostly tied to WordPress, but I'm not afraid to pull data into arrays, run foreach loops, create classes, extend functions, and use hooks and filters.
