In June 2022, I joined Workvivo as a Senior Software Engineer with the Admin
Experience team.
The Admin Experience team's main role is building and maintaining the admin/
dashboard areas of the platform where customers manage their organization within
the Workvivo platform on both web and mobile.
I developed full-stack solutions using MySQL, Laravel, AWS, and React from
beginning to end, through Code Review, QA, and release. Using Laravel, I have
worked frequently with Eloquent, Notifications, and Command/Jobs functionality to
create scalable, automated running of background tasks.
Using React, I have created many feature-rich enterprise-level user interfaces, which
have included building full-featured administration areas.
During this time I also wrote many unit tests (PHPUnit and Cypress) for new and
existing features to ensure the code was tested through our GitHub actions before
releasing it to production.
In June 2017, I joined Three's "Fusion" development team. Fusion is an internal
application developed in-house for over a decade. It is built on MySQL and PHP
(CakePHP).
Its main purpose is to integrate over 100 different data sources
(Teradata, MSSQL, Oracle DB and MySQL/MariaDB, AccessDB, SOAP APIs, JSON
APIs) into one common application for all Three Ireland employees to view and
manage customer data in one fast, secure, GDPR compliant application.
