Leonardo Q. - Remote full-stack developer

Leonardo Q.

Timezone: Central America (UTC-6)

Summary

I'm a Costa Rican software developer specializing in e-commerce, with a passion for building systems, learning new things and helping others do the same.

I'm currently certified for the Magento platform as an Adobe Commerce Developer and as an Adobe Front End Developer, and I have expertise in the related technology stack: PHP, Apache/Nginx, MySQL, Linux, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. I've also worked with Laravel (a platform that I particularly enjoy) and WordPress.

My previous experience and training as a data engineer using SQL Server and as a Java/.NET developer, allows me to build better web applications. I have a passion for systems design and software architecture, and have a special interest in the problems that begin to appear once we need to support a global scale.

I believe that technology can be a huge benefit for our lives and our societies. But it should be deployed responsibly, both from the technical point of view (following good practices is a critical aspect of our work as engineers) and from the social point of view. The decisions of a team of developers that care about their work can make a big difference for a lot of people.
