Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer, I am responsible for designing and delivering an enterprise data solution, working closely with engineering, product, and data science teams to understand how to best deliver a data ecosystem that delivers on the immediate needs of the business and looks to the future as we scale. Working to get the most out of data generated in the operation and use of the system – including order data, investor data, and usage data – as well as setting up secure and efficient protocols for migrating partner data and incorporating third-party data sets.
- Knowledge and proven experience in object-oriented design, performance/scalability tuning, algorithms, and computational complexity.
- Knowledge and proven experience in traditional RDBMS, Data Warehouse, and Big Data tools and technology.
- Ability to read, interpret, design, and model data schemas (dimensional or no-dimensional).
- Ability to create and maintain online and printed documents.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to resolve technical, procedural, and operational issues appropriately.
- Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Designed, implemented, and maintained database solutions for the core applications and analysis use cases.
- Evaluate different approaches and technologies to match the evolving needs of the business.
- Analysis of complex data elements to debug, analyze, and proactively improve our data ecosystem.
- Collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and other key stakeholders to develop solutions that address key business requirements.
- Keeping up with industry trends and best practices and continuously improving how we approach our data challenges.
Goal: Increase Share of Voice.
Task: Improve data and fix bugs from Nemo and RegNet systems: After running the KPIs for August, both Nemo and RegNet increased their share of voice to 29% and 14% respectively, putting us at a total share of voice of 43%. Our goal for Q3 is 44% so we're just about there and the MAIDs work w/ Nemo should get us there.
