Developing in Ruby on Rails and Chef on AWS to provide solutions for Retail and Consumer Credit Card products. Led two contractors in developing application to provide automated deployments of Capital One’s Store Card applications. Designed and began development of an application with potential for Capital One to avoid $750,000 of external consulting fees. Lead knowledge transfer associate to add excellence to other associates knowledge and abilities.

Senior Platform Engineer

Responsible for maintaining existing environment as well as architecting enhancements to the eBusiness site utilized by HSBC’s North American Internet and intranet applications for all deployment and monitoring. Existing environment is in shell scripts and flat files. Re-architecting this in Perl and Java Servlets using the Mysql database for the backend.

Consultant - eSupport

Responsible for architecting and implementing new software to support our online customers as well as internal applications, data modeling, and maintaining existing systems. In-depth use of Java Servlets, JSPs (Java Server Pages), XML, HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, DHTML, Oracle, Java Stored Procedures, and PL/ SQL on Solaris servers. Frequently used as a resource for complicated network, Solaris administration, Big IP load balancers, and Nokia firewall issues. Have served as the technical lead on numerous projects. Served as backup for my manager, Director of Development for SRDS. Roles also included project management on highly technical projects.

Sr Systems Developer / Technical Lead

One of a team of developers responsible for maintaining and enhancing our production web applications. Primary duties include Java, JSP, HTML, XHTML, AJAX, Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, and Solaris. Aided in coordination and administration of a pilot program for WABI, a Microsoft Windows emulator running under Solaris, allowing users to access PC applications on their X-terminal.
