Sr. Front-end Engineer

I teach in-person and virtual coding classes for people of all ages. The main goal is to show them how to get a job in tech. My students learn HTML, CSS, JS, React and many more job-ready skills.

My Responsibilities:
• Host workshops.
• Teach classes.
• Help students debug their code.
• Grade projects and provide constructive feedback.

Instructor

Currently creating workshops for anyone who wants to dive deeper into their React knowledge. I cover topics that people often ignore like, "why do we need keys when we map?". The main takeaway is to challenge everything you know and to be mindful of gaps in your knowledge so you can bridge them!

Code Mentor

I was the lead front-end engineer at Mastery Coding, a learning platform that hosts our top-tier virtual reality curriculum for middle and high school students.

Development Stack: React, Nextjs, Apollo, Prisma, Postgress, Graphql, and storybookjs. 

Design Stack: Sketch with Zeplin.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and architect micro front-end applications.
• SCRUM master for the team with an emphasis on practicing Agile principals.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and users to ensure UX and technical needs are met.
• Generate resources for code standards, design systems, and other teaching/learning documents. 
• Train new hires and interns.

Accomplishments:
• Designed and maintained front-end for 6+ websites using React, NEXTjs, Styled-Components, Storybook, and Apollo.
• Introduced, led, and implemented the Atomic File Structure in two large scale react applications, as well as the Atomic Design System for our Sketch projects to improve communication between designers and developers. Increased development speed by 50%
