During almost 4 years I filled several roles, starting as a developer part of a big team and moving onto leading several projects, while also having the opportunity of being a technical lead for several teams - reviewing code across applications and ensuring the use of best practices. I worked on different projects with multiple clients, using either Rails or Node for backend development, and Angular and React for the frontend.

Developer

I've worked in the development of a brand new Ruby on Rails application on a big team (10+ people). This included working with technologies such as PostgreSQL, Sphinx, jQuery, CoffeeScript, SASS and Compass. I've also helped with the bugfixing of two Grails applications, as the only team member in the country, reporting directly to the client and to the team in Romania.

Development of several web applications with Java-related technologies. Worked with JSP, Seam, JSF, Hibernate, Grails, using Tomcat as the application server and with MySQL databases. On the frontend, I worked with Javascript using jQuery, backbone.js, knockout.js, and mustache for templating. I used Git and SVN for revision control.

I've worked with Javascript during my whole career. Starting with simple applications which used jQuery, I moved onto big tools developed with Angular and later started working on several applications created from scratch with React.

Along the years I've worked on brand new Rails applications and improvements to existing ones, including migrating to more recent versions of Rails. I've done work included social networking sites, internal tools and reusable gems.

Pretty much all the projects I've worked on during my career were web projects. While I feel more at home writing Javascript, I got lots of experience on these technologies along the years. I've worked directly with plain HTML and CSS and with several languages that compile to them, mainly HAML and SASS. Lately I've been writing React so all my HTML became JSX, but I started using PostCSS with several plugins to power up the CSS side.
