Senior Full Stack Developer (Freelance)

Development of web-based content management system and API's for the Campus App, a one-stop-shop iOS app for PVH employees to get campus-related information and getting day-to-day tasks done.

Features I worked on include integration with the Topdesk API, enabling WhatsApp style conversation with the IT and facilities support desk, implementation of CMS redesign, and development of a multi-step form builder and API.

Responsible for the architecture, development and operations of Duuk, an online platform which powers Blink's innovative digital teaching methods for primary and secondary education, including Groove.me, Blink Wereld, PLOT26, Wired and Saga.

The platform's functionality for teachers and students includes digiboard lessons, exercise planning and results, digital worksheets and adaptive practice apps. The platform contains a management environment and a custom-built content management system, which is used by the publishing teams to author the various teaching methods.

Software Architect / Lead Developer

Responsible for the architecture, development and operations of Oliver Elements, a cloud based application platform for web and mobile applications. This includes both infrastructural and application architectures, as well as automating the software test and delivery process.

Oliver Elements is used to integrate processes and data from backend systems in online and offline scenarios. In its initial form the platform was used to develop and run customer specific solutions. During 2017 the platform was being evolved towards a multitenant microservices architecture in order to be able to develop and run a standalone SaaS solution for field service management.

The platform's functionality includes a dashboard, user management, enterprise app store, data synchronization, message queue & monitoring. The mobile application template is supported for IOS, Android and Windows, and includes modules such as user/device registration, data synchronization and data storage.

I've worked with React on several projects for the past 4 years in different organizations and using different related technologies (e.g. backend communication, state management, styling). As such I have experience with older and newer libraries and practices commonly used in the React community (e.g. HOCs/render props/React hooks and SASS/Styled Components).

I've worked with Node.js for the past 5 years and created web and mobile backend/middleware layers using several web application frameworks, including Express, Koa and Fastify for REST API's and Apollo server for GraphQL based API's.

I've worked with Javascript for over 10 years, and have seen the language evolve towards being a full stack technology using Node.js and React, improving language features over time such as callbacks to promises to async/await.
