I have practiced TDD for much of my career.  Lately, I work primarily in Spock, but have years of experience with JUnit and some interaction with TestNG.

At Shelter Insurance, I led a team tasked with writing a new policy administration system for Shelter's direct channel expansion effort.  We wrote the whole system in Play with Scala.  We leveraged Scala's strong type system to underpin the whole system with a robust event-sourced data model split cleanly with CQRS.

Git has been my primary VCS for several years.  I have worked with most of the major  abstractions on top of Git.

I led the effort at Shelter to expand into NoSQL technologies, beginning with MongoDB.  I built a policy administration system for Shelter's life, group life, and health policies in MongoDB, porting all data from a legacy flat file format.

I have enough experience with MongoDB to know its limits (particularly with regard to how the choice of shard keys can critically affect the performance of a data access layer that is trying to ask several unrelated questions).
