José C. Paiva is a Software Developer with 4+ years of experience in R&D. His main research interests are automated assessment of programming exercises, learning, gamification, and recommendation, in which he already published more than a dozen scientific research papers and book chapters. During these years, he has worked with tools such as Java, GWT, Javascript, Python, Redis, and HTML5/CSS3.

He has also worked as a Full Stack Web Developer for 3+ years. These years provided him with experience in NodeJs, PHP, MySQL MongoDB, PostgreSQL, frontend frameworks (e.g., Vuejs and React), Wordpress, VBA, among many others. Furthermore, he has made several integrations with Zoho CRM and Zoho Creator while working in a Dutch company.

During his academic years, he has demonstrated a strong ability and motivation to design and build systems that excel the initial requirements. His responsibility, quick learning, and commitment have made him a top Computer Science student. He has awarded a Computer Science degree from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto as well as a Master degree in Computer Science - Specialization in Data Mining and Data Processing.
