I've developed distributed microservice Node.js applications and deployed them globally across multiple replication zones for failover, high availability, and fast regional response times. The applications have been dockerized and delivered by Kubernetes on both AWS and Google Cloud. I have also contributed to Node.js core.

I've written cutting edge Kubernetes orchestration architectures using Pods, Deployments, Services, and Load balancers in innovative ways to achieve global redundancy whilst minimising cost. Kubernetes application insights gained through exporting container metrics via Prometheus, and visually representing them using Grafana.

100% of applications I run these days are dockerized, from cloud native microservices to legacy databases. Containerisation is necessary for portability and abstraction from the underlying operating system. Docker is at the heart of modern web application development.

Cloud infrastructure that is represented as code is powerful beyond stakeholder's expectations. Infrastructure automation has been the single biggest cost and time saver in the devops space in the last 10 years, and I'm looking to share it's power with those seeking to benefit from it.
