Have been the language with my core strengths. Very comfortable to read (yes - read. If you can't read someone else's code with the correct respect, you can't write code that would be read well), write and maintain code written in in the language.

Curiosity on what goes under the hood makes you think more and have sympathy on the mechanics involved. Thus over the years I have gathered some valuable insights of how the JVM operates with regard to machine architectures and continue to learn and improve everyday. 

I've had hands on experience in being involved in system architecture and building infrastructure in the cloud in an automated fashion. Have had exposure to configuration management tools such as Puppet and Chef.
