As director of engineering at Pwnie Express my role was to own, manage, and facilitate a wide variety of projects. The team had swelled to almost 20 by this point and the product ecosystem had grown quite broad and complex. With my technical background, company context and management capabilities I continued to work closely with the team as well as the VP of Engineering, Edwin Marin to try to understand changing market requirements and help steer the product in the right direction. Major accomplishments during this period include: * Spear headed a major product overhaul together with Director of R&D Rick Farina and Senior Architech Ellery Crane * Release of several rounds of major feature enhancements * Released "BlueHydra" as an open source project which has quickly established itself as an important Bluetooth security tool * Spoke at Defcon and Source Boston conferences Technology used extensively during this period: Ruby, Kali Linux, Bash, Nmap, Kismet, Sinatra Autossh, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Zurb Foundation Grid System

As engineering manager I worked closely with the VP of Engineering to help guide the team both in terms of day to day prioritization but also from the perspective of technical guidance around the product. Major accomplishments include: * Managed the engineering team through a significant development effort which spanned the sensors to the cloud, working closely on all aspects of a major micro-service architecture web application. * Managed outside contractors developing the first fully featured PwnPulse UI * Hired a great team of talented people * Worked closely with Sales , Marketing and Product management teams as a primary bridge to the engineering team * Guided the Engineering team through several challenging pivots without losing a single member. * Spoke at Bsides San Fransisco Technology used extensively during this period: Ruby, Kali Linux, Bash, Nmap, Kismet, Sinatra Autossh, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, AWS, Grafana, Datadog, SQLite,
