- In spite of having a team of people, I still write code on a regular basis, since it is something I truly enjoy doing.

Sr. Software Engineer

Was a Software Engineer inside of Cisco's Emerging Technologies Group, working on Cisco Pulse, which was designed for medium-scale enterprises. 
- Maintained a large portion of UI (web interface) codebase project. Struts, Java, JSP, Javascript, AJAX, HTML/CSS and some SQL were needed to perform primary job function. 
- Developed new features for the UI, above-mentioned technologies used.

 - Designed and implemented large portion of low-level backend code for a large module (in C/C++) for the same product. Also helped in the design of and solely implemented the UI, which included Struts, Java, Javascript and interacting with Flash components through Javascript. Helped in the development of requirements, interacting with the marketing team to come up with specifications that met the needs of the product.

Software Engineer

Designed and implemented an agent-based simulation which was used in a study by Professor Mark C. Suchman.

Research Intern

Developed web application tying two branches of Endeca's in-house technology together; making them accessible to business users. Went through full development cycle on product; design, implementation, testing ; made it deployment-ready.

Dev Intern

Have worked on Ruby apps using straight RoR along with some Sinatra and Vertx (Ruby based) experience. Also have experience working with Mongoid in addition to everything else Rails related.

For some reason, I love the purity of writing in C.

I worked at Cisco Systems on their backend for the Cisco Pulse product. Key responsibilities included interfacing with the Nexidia library to implement keyword spotting in video streams. I was also a founding member of the Cisco Speech Group and worked alongside research scientists to aid in the development of an in house speech recognition system.

Have been working for the last year on data science/machine learning projects using numpy/scipy and keras.

I've definitely gotten the feel for the language and have finished several in-house projects. Am also mulling over some startup ideas that I can do in this space.

I've worked on Rails projects big and small and it's still probably the technology stack I love the most. It comes together in a beautiful way. From writing an admin interface that would infer everything from model definitions to creating gems, I've done quite a few things and continue to develop in Rails when writing web applications. It's also still the only platform on which I've done Salesforce work.
