Principal Product Support Engineer

Blockchain solutions for fintech.
• Handled backend integration of core BIS software with Stellar and 
Provenance blockchains, working closely with third-party development teams

Software Engineer

• Created a computer-vision-based image anonymizer to automate the redaction of sensitive PII and PHI (Protected Health Information) from DICOM medical imaging data, contributing to multiple Federal Small Business Innovation Research grant applications (SBIR 411 and 427)
• Created a validated, HIPAA-compliant Python Docker service to securely receive and transmit medical imaging data for post-processing with deep learning algorithms
• Created a fully configurable DICOM metadata extraction tool utilizing Elasticsearch to meet sub-second performance requirements for enterprise Pharma customers
• Participated in formal validation of our software platform in the form of system testing
• All work completed in a fully validated, Agile-driven environment and passed an audit by a Fortune 100 company (21CFR Part 11)

• Created configurable call simulators used for developing and testing key components of IDT’s major new initiative, Boss Revolution Mobile (BR Mobile)
• Created Java application used in production to assess customer call, data, and SMS eligibility based on account standing, and initiate account status changes with the BR Mobile Network Operator accordingly
• Created a front-end account management application (WebAdmin) including responsive dashboards with sorting and filtering built in React.js

I first started to self-teach myself Python using online tutorials and Codecademy one semester in college, and it quickly became my favorite language. It's now my bread and butter, as my latest job has been entirely Python programming. It's a powerful, easy-to-read language resulting in a remarkable turnaround for building projects, and I highly recommend it to beginner coders.

This was the bulk of my coding education in college, a plethora of Java projects and problems. I went on to exclusively use Java for a couple years at my first job and as such it is my 2nd strongest language. Another great choice for beginners, with the distinction of being a strongly typed, compiled language in comparison to Python.

I took 3 or 4 courses in C during college education including some hefty, semester long projects. I think it's one of the most interesting languages owing to all the functionality regarding memory (you can easily peer directly into where all your variables are stored!). It can be extremely powerful or quite problematic if not handled correctly. It's one of the strongest examples of what you can do when manually handling pointers instead of leaving it to the programming language itself. I don't use C frequently so it's not my most proficient language, but I can certainly weigh in on C code.
