Senior Software Engineer

Python is the swiss-army knife on my hip. I've used it for web applications (see Django section!),  web scraping, and writing desktop apps. Whenever someone asks me how to get started programming, I suggest they give Python a try. I find that python often allows a programmer to focus on the problem they are trying to solve instead of on the code itself.

Django is my go-to framework when building an MVP. I absolutely love its speediness-of-development, clarity, and flexibility.   Django is a joy to work with -- I love coaching others to be able to discover that joy!

I've used JavaScript for years,usually on front end, from simple jQuery DOM manipulations to building custom objects and widgets, to constructing single page web applications in React and Vue.
