Lead Developer

I've been working with PHP for the past ten years building all sort of projects, both for local businesses and international clientes.

I started working with Codeigniter to build a custom ERP & CRM tool for a local business, and from there moved to Laravel for this kind of apps.

From 2009 to 2012 I led the development of an in-house BI tool for the Trade Marketing industry, to collect and analyze data of hundreds of products from thousands of shops across the country.

From there I moved to Drupal (version 6 at the time) to build and maintain the main website of a global media and events company. I kept working with Drupal, learning Drupal 7 circa 2014, to become the lead developer of two media sites serving millions of visitors each month.
At the time I also started using WordPress for smaller projects, and discovered it was way more powerful than I thought. With a few years of experience, I started teaching WordPress on the side, a few times for a local coding school and more often giving private lessons.

For the past two years I've been working mostly in WordPress for one of the biggest media companies in USA, developing and maintaining websites that serve more than 50 millions unique visitors each month. I've specialized in profiling and performance tuning, DevOps, and software architecture to support the rapid growth of the websites and the team. Today I'm the lead developer and architect in a team of twelve devs, and as part of my day to day job I mentor other developers helping them to write high performance and scalable PHP code.
