I was involved in successful transformation of monolith app supporting one of Amazon core business functions into distributed cloud-based pipeline.

As a Senior Java developer I was a part of the international distributed team that develops and supports a complex intraday risk-analysis application operating almost in real-time. As part of the job I: - implemented and deployed new functionality both on server-side using Core Java and bank’s internal technologies and on client-side using C#. - developed alerting, maintenance and reconciliation facilities using various scripting languages on UNIX platform - provided production support of the application to the traders of the bank - analyzed incoming user requirements, suggested design solutions and implemented them The main challenges of my job were: - plenty of legacy code with poor test coverage - high requirements to stability and performance of the application - need to urgently find root causes of production issues and fix them in short amount of time as stakes are incredibly high

I'm using Python almost every day for quick prototyping, writing utilities and glue code between systems.
