One of the crucial problems in software engineering is the balance between quality and deadlines. Sometimes we need to release our apps today, or the business opportunity will fade away. More often than not, engineers are forced to give up quality and incur into technical debt.

I firmly believe that we can achieve great quality and still meet deadlines by following common (engineering) sense and good practices. I strive to meet business requirements while still delivering solid code and architecture, so that applications can be starting points rather than a maintenance nightmare.
