Signal generator
2016
Android
Java
As a student worker, I obtained faculty projects while pursuing my degree. I had a lot of interesting and challenging projects, the most exciting one was an application for a signal generator. I developed an Android application that communicated with a signal generator device via Bluetooth and generated all types of signals through user input. Hardware was extended by additional filters, so students are still using application today and with hardware in labs for their exercises. I won the best paper award at the IEEE conference for this project. One of the more interesting challenges was implementing the Gauss elimination method on MAXELER FPGA. The program was written in Java, and execution was on Maxeler fpga board. We had one board on university so I had about two hours per weekend to perform my solution.
