I benefited as a student in their Ruby on Rails fullstack program for the first quarter of 2017, spent the following two quarters as a JavaScript frontend Associate Instructor, and am presently serving a final quarter as an AI for the Java/Spring fullstack program. This role is on TIY's corporate training team for Liberty Mutual. The company will shutter at the end of January, but I will remain with them until then.

Interim head of IT for 1 year, followed by two and a half years serving under the head of IT on his management staff.

Deputy Chief Information Officer

Highly variable position, engineering marketing services (chiefly for VIP authors). Developed and managed a ~2,000 blog WordPress server with aggregation. Developed a configurable and template-driven mail merge application in PHP and JavaScript. Developed a data-­mining algorithm using non-specialized resources to gather implicit age data from a database of written copy (entailing extensive use of RegEx via Excel VBA). Developed Facebook integrations. Designed websites, email marketing campaigns, and AdMob, Facebook, and other online ads for VIP authors.

Special Projects Engineer (Online Marketing Services)

My relationship with JavaScript is the most thorough of my language proficiencies. I began in 2000, scripting for websites, exploring metaprogramming, and writing little libraries. I keep myself up-to-date with the standards, reading spec and library changes. I am currently contracted with The Iron Yard coding school as an Associate Instructor teaching ES6, Node, TypeScript, Angular 4, React/Redux, and Sails.js (as well as the Java/Spring stack) until the end of January. 

In terms of Dreyfus' model of skill acquisition, my JavaScript language proficiency is Expert and my familiarity with the aforementioned frameworks is in transition from Advanced Beginner to Competent. This assessment has been reached with the help of Architect-level coworkers.

I was a student in The Iron Yard's Ruby on Rails fullstack program. My previous programming experience in JavaScript, PHP, C++, and VB/VBA/VB.net—along with TIY's immersive 90+ hrs/wk bootcamp training and subsequent employment as an associate instructor for said school—has served me well and I'm ready to work.
