David M. - Remote full-stack developer

Senior Full Stack Developer
Based in: 🇬🇪 Georgia

About

I'm a full stack developer from Tbilisi with about 12 years of experience, mostly in fintech. For the past few years at S-Pro I've worked on a digital asset platform: NestJS microservices, Kafka, and the React front end clients use to buy, sell, and transfer crypto. Before that I built payment APIs on AWS for Clear Treasury, a UK money transfer company, and earlier spent two years on Georgia's e-government systems.

I work mostly in TypeScript, with Node.js/NestJS and React, PostgreSQL and Redis for data, Kafka for messaging, and AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, Cognito) for infrastructure. I like owning a feature end to end, from the data model and API to the screen.

I'm looking for a remote full-time or long-term contract role, ideally on a fintech or payments product.

Selling meat online has a few tricky parts. People buy by weight, prices are per kilogram, stock is limited, and the customer should know the exact amount before paying. My role: sole designer and full-stack developer. Customers pick an exact weight or number of packs and see the final amount right away. The server calculates every total in whole tetri, with no floating point money, and rounds each line once. Checkout is idempotent, so a retry never creates a second order, and stock is held for 15 minutes while the customer pays. Payment runs through Bank of Georgia's hosted checkout. An order counts as paid only after a signature-verified bank callback, never because of a browser redirect. Staff manage products, stock, orders, delivery areas and partial refunds from an admin panel. The shop is in Georgian and English throughout. Public pages render on the server and work without JavaScript. Product photos are re-encoded to WebP in WebAssembly with metadata stripped. Row-level security and a least-privilege database role protect the data. Playwright journeys and real PostgreSQL contract tests run in CI.
