My background started in Full Stack Development, but Backend is where I truly thrive. I've had the pleasure of working in a wide range of industries, including advertising agencies, digital signage, real estate, and finance. This has allowed me to tackle large-scale projects and lead successful legacy application maintenance and migrations.
Although I have experience in technical leadership as a former Tech Manager, my passion lies in hands-on development. I'm also naturally curious about infrastructure and enjoy exploring DevOps practices, such as provisioning and managing environments on AWS.
Work Experience
As a Senior Backend Developer at 2am Tech, I’ve been contracted to NCBE (National Conference of Bar Examiners), the organization responsible for administering the bar exam across the United States. In this role, I’ve contributed to modernizing and scaling core systems that serve bar exam candidates.
- Customized large Laravel monoliths to support a modular architecture, enabling each module to manage its own routes, controllers, MySQL database, migrations, and tests independently.
- Designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing and deployment workflows, ensuring code quality and smoother releases.
- Containerized development and production environments with Docker, enhancing consistency across local and cloud setups.
- Created and maintained shared libraries using Git submodules to centralize reusable logic, such as payment processing, custom validation rules, and standardized API responses.
- Developed and maintained key services responsible for handling requests and reports for bar exam candidates.
