Interaction Designer and Front End Developer

Part-time lecturer at Coding Bootcamp Prague (www.codingbootcamp.cz) teaching front end development. Topics included advanced CSS, responsive design or speed optimization.

 Analyzing, planning and coordinating maintenance and development of IT infrastructure for a small political party. 

IT Coordinator

Built and led a small web design and development team in a company that was focused  on visual design and branding before I started there. The team was an agile mix of back end (Django/Python) and front end developers and designers.

Besides leading the team I did prototyping (whiteboard, paper and in code), usability testing and analyzed users' behaviour (Google Analytics).

Worked on various web sites from one page product presentations to more complex ones e.g. a credit union or a real estate agency websites and also applications like internet banking (design only) and custom developed intranet.

Communicated closely with clients, contractors (visual and UX designers or front-end developers) and also with client's vendors.

Interaction Designer

Making WebExpo 2010 Design Hall inspiring, invigorating and connecting.

WebExpo was at the time the largest central european conference for programmers, startups and designers.

Design Hall Programme Manager

Tried to establish user centered design as a part of product development process.

Designed website user interfaces. 

Performed user research and testing, created wireframes and prototypes.

Collaborated with visual designers. 

Larger projects included the biggest czech online woman lifestyle magazine and administration interface of Django based Ella CMS.

User Interface Designer

Worked on front end of company's web sites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, templates (Smarty, Django), optimized images etc. Consulted website accessibility and usability.

In collaboration with HR department participated in tens of interviews while recruiting new HTML coders.

HTML coder

Designed, developed and maintained websites and web apps for various clients.

 Web Designer

Primarily focused on building websites using HTML, CSS, Smarty template language and Flash.

Worked on designs for websites and other media including offset and digital printing, screen printing, pad printing, laser engraving, machine embroidery (leaflets, catalogues, t shirts, lanyards, pens, toys, metal or wooden objects, caps, t shirts, jackets etc.).

Webdesigner & DTP operator

– Turning simple and complicated designs into web pages and applications since the times of Internet Explorer 4.
– Architected several front end systems using different methodologies.

– Git and GitHub daily usage on command line (BASH, Command Prompt) for common tasks.
– Experience with different flows and setups.

– Building websites on Bootstrap since version 2. 
– Used Bootstrap as a basis for both web sites and web applications. 
–  Experience with different customizations: simple with custom CSS and heavy with custom Bootstrap builds via Less (Bootstrap 3) and Sass (Bootstrap 4).

Created more than trivial dev stacks with both Gulp and Grunt and smaller ones just with npm scripts.
