Accessibility for mobile

Led the refactoring and development of features for the Discover tab in the My Porsche application, applying Clean Architecture across the domain, data, persistence, networking and presentation layers. Key contributions included:

  • Designed and built an offline-first persistence layer using Room, with dedicated :persistence:database and :persistence:storage modules, junction tables, entities, DAOs, type converters, pagination and new-content awareness via DataStore.
  • Implemented local data sources with clean domain-model boundaries, unit and instrumented tests, and a shared testFixtures source set to eliminate duplication.
  • Implemented large-scale modularization and package restructuring across the Discover tab, establishing Screen/Layout composable conventions and proper DI/navigation patterns.
  • Eliminated flickering and state loss on tab switches by converting cold Flows to StateFlow with lifecycle-aware collection.
  • Delivered end-to-end article sharing by propagating universal deep links through the application layers, with feature-toggle gating and Firebase Analytics event tracking.
  • Drove the migration of the Discover domain from Material 2 to Material 3 and the sDX26 design system across five UI modules, built around a reusable FrostedGlassScaffold, with radial backgrounds and frosted glass effects.
  • Replaced the tab-based category navigation with a chip-based implementation, and developed a collapsing top-navigation scroll animation and loading skeletons using design system components.
  • Delivered internationalization and accessibility improvements, including RTL/LTR support, TalkBack semantic readout ordering, and custom accessibility actions across all components.
  • Established comprehensive screenshot test coverage across Discover modules to prevent regressions.

Google pay

Led the development of a modern Android EV charging application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, implementing clean architecture patterns across framework, data, domain, and presentation layers. The application uses a multi-module approach that separates both layers and features into independent modules, facilitating maintainability and testability with the following key features:

  • Interactive map functionality with clustering and location services, for users to visualise the different charging station statuses.
  • Search functionality with memory of recent searches and location-based filtering.
  • Charger location and charger details with detailed connectors information.
  • QR code scanning and deep linking capabilities.
  • One-Time-Password authentication via SMS messages.
  • Real-time charging session management with payment integration via Stripe and Google Pay.
  • OAuth 2.0 support via Keycloak for user-restricted charging sessions.
  • Push notifications to inform the user about changes to their charging session status.
  • A design system with reusable UI components that follow core Material Design principles.

Established robust development practices:

  • Contributed to the development of GitHub CI/CD pipelines to automate test execution, perform code quality checks and distribute builds via Firebase App Distribution.
  • Integrated static code analysis tools (Ktlint and Detekt).
  • Established an automated testing strategy with coverage across data sources, repositories, and ViewModels, ensuring code reliability.
