I've been doing PHP and web application development for over 16 years and focusing on web application security for the past 6-7 years. In addition I've presented several training sessions and have spoken about various more general application security topics outside of just PHP. I'm involved with several PHP security initiatives and with the wider OWASP group as well.

I've been writing PHP for as long as I can remember. I'm a very active member in the  PHP community and have released several open source projects, worked with lots of related technologies and have been doing senior level work for over 12 years in the industry.

I've developed database structures in MySQL for a wide range of applications, making use of both MySQL-specific functionality and database best practices to create reliable, well-structured storage solutions.

I've both worked with and created various kinds of APIs including REST, SOAP and XML-RPC services in the past. I'm very familiar with API interactions and security principles.

From early on in my career I've been working with Linux to create servers for web development and production deployment. I'm familiar with the requirements for hardening a server and to get software compiled and up and running.

I've been working with HTML and CSS as long as I've been doing web development (12+ years). I've worked with everything from raw HTML and CSS to style markup out to using the Twitter Bootstrap to construct a basic site structure.

I've worked with jQuery for 10+ years now across a wide range of application types - from small projects to large, enterprise level apps.
