Summary

I’m passionate about the purpose of helping others by sharing knowledge. I like the idea of challenging myself to find data-driven solutions, either it's a practical problem in a real business or an academic problem.

I believe that because of three reasons. First, after more than a decade of experience as a small business manager, I acquired a DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF BUSINESS. Second, in that period I use to perform data analysis on my daily basis, which provides me an ADVANCED LEVEL OF MICROSOFT EXCEL spreadsheet. Lastly, as a Ph.D. student in finance, I have been developing some academic-level research skills, including an EXPERTISE IN R LANGUAGE to analyze data.

Therefore, I give my best to use my background and find a solution to your problem. If I cannot solve it, you will get a FULL refund. So, there's absolutely no risk for you. I don’t charge anything if the mentee is not satisfied.

At the University of Tennessee, I worked on the project “A text-based analysis of expected investment growth premium". This project has resulted in a complete database on returns, dividends, prices, accounting information, and text data. These data were separately collected from three different sources: CRSP, Compustat, and SEC Edgar database. Then, I create a unique database containing valuable firm-level information that will be useful for my empirical research. In this experience, I utilized sophisticated techniques to understand the file structure of the WRDS server and learned how to use SAS commands to download systematically the CRSP and Compustat data. To get the 10-k text documents from the SEC Edgar database, it was necessary to find a solution to collect the data in a systematic way, which was done by using the R statistical software.
