Ali is currently a research assistant in the Bioinformatics Research Group & Master student at Nile University. His recent work included different applications of deep learning in targeted metagenomics. He was a member of H3ABioNet, where he supervised 2 bioinformatics courses as a teaching assistant. Also, he participated in IBM/H3ABioNet Malaria Hackathon that combined systems biology with machine learning.
