Summary

I am a Full-Stack JavaScript Developer that was part of the first Google-backed Coding Bootcamp in Mexico.

Without finishing my studies and without prior business experience or coffee experience I created a Government-backed specialty coffee company that offers some of the best Mexican coffees with a social impact and technological approach.

I am here to give mentorship/advice and help solve particular problems primarily to people that are just starting their path as a developer.

In 2013, I participated in a national contest organized by the Ministry of Economics and won the 1st prize with a Canvas Business Model of a coffee company with social impact. I incorporated the company (El Café de los Sentidos S de RL de CV) and received a Government grant to incubate the company in one of the most important Mexican consultancy firms (Feher Consulting) but I did not have any knowledge about coffee. I started to make coffee research and met and collaborate with some of the most important Mexican coffee roasters, tasters and baristas with whom I learned a lot. In 2015, Luz María Osuna one of the most influential women in the coffee industry around the world invited us to incorporate an NGO (Grupo Coexme AC) that helped with +$7M +300 coffee farmers in Chiapas to develop specialty coffee (the highest coffee quality in the market). In 2016, one of our coffees was considered 1 of the best 6 Mexican roasted coffees in the Premio Sabor in Expo Café (the most important coffee event in Mexico). In 2017, I gave advice to Carlos García Campillo - a coffee farmer - to develop one coffee process that he did not know (red honey processing) and, in his first experiment, his coffee was acknowledged in France as one of the best coffees around the world in an international contest organized by the Agence pour la Valorisation des Produits Agricoles in Paris. In 2018 I open our first coffee shop in Coyoacán (one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Mexico https://g.page/CafeSentidos?share ) - with Federal funds that I managed in 2015 - and started offering some of the best Mexican coffees, Mexican cacaos, and traditional Mexican Beverages. In 2021 I launched a coffee subscription MVP, a PWA shopping list that had saved us a lot of time since then (https://lista.cafedelossentidos.com.mx), and a menu for our coffee shop (https://menu.cafedelossentidos.com.mx) to provide a better consumer experience.

PWA
I created this activities/shopping list PWA for my coffee shop to make this process more efficient and effective with my co-workers. I used React with hooks and use WhatsApp to send the list. This app will reduce the time spent by my collaborators checking the activities that are needed for the correct operation of the coffee shop.
