Position : Senior ServiceNow Architect / Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a seasoned Senior ServiceNow Architect/Developer to join our team and take full ownership of our ServiceNow platform. You will be a hands-on technical leader and a self-starter who can drive solutions independently — from requirements gathering through to delivery. You will have a strong voice in design decisions, excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels, and deep expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and the broader ITSM ecosystem

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Own and drive end-to-end design, configuration, and development of ServiceNow modules with a primary focus on Hardware Asset Management (HAM).
• Architect and implement HAM asset lifecycle workflows — request, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement — using Flow Designer, Business Rules, and approval processes.
• Integrate HAM with CMDB, procurement processes (Purchase Orders, Stockrooms, Transfer Orders), and third-party systems for seamless asset tracking.
• Perform asset data reconciliation between HAM and CMDB to eliminate duplicates and maintain data consistency.
• Configure asset normalization and model management to standardize hardware records across the enterprise.
• Lead development across core ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and SLA management.
• Develop and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP APIs, enabling real-time synchronization with external platforms.
• Build custom Performance Analytics dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics for asset tracking and service operations.
• Write robust, maintainable code including Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Scripted REST APIs, and Flow Designer flows.
• Collaborate independently with business stakeholders, technical leads, and project managers — clearly translating requirements into scalable solutions.
• Maintain high-quality technical documentation and contribute actively to Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Provide mentorship and on-the-job guidance to junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of ServiceNow development and architecture experience
• Strong, demonstrable expertise in the Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module
• Hands-on experience with CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping
• Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting: JavaScript, Business Rules, Flow Designer, Workflows
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
• ITIL V3/V4 Foundation Certified
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to present to technical and non-technical audiences
• Proven ability to work independently and self-manage deliverables Experience across multiple ServiceNow release versions

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Experience with SAM (Software Asset Management)
• Familiarity with HRSD, CSM, or ITOM modules
• Experience with UI Builder and Now Experience Framework
• Performance Analytics or Service Portal micro-certifications
• Agile/Scrum experience; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification a plus
• PMP or equivalent project management training
• Background working with federal, healthcare, finance, or telecom clients Portal development experience with AngularJS, HTML, CSS
