Backend Engineer - Django

As a Senior Software Engineer at Zlenox, you will lead the technical development and deployment of a cutting-edge electronic health record system. Your role will involve architecting and coding robust healthcare software solutions using Django, Python, and modern cloud technologies. You'll ensure the product's scalability and performance, particularly focusing on solutions for the geriatric population. This position is ideal for candidates experienced in SAAS products, familiar with FHIR standards, and passionate about making a tangible impact in healthcare technology.

Only candidates with professional experience with Django will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related technical degree AND 6+ years of technical experience with coding that performs well at scale using languages not limited to Python & JavaScript.
• 4+ years’ experience in leading and shipping cloud services and having been through at least two development cycles.
• 3+ years of experience architecting and developing using the Django backend framework.
• Experience with UI development and frameworks (e.g. Django, JS, Tailwind CSS, HTML)
• Experience with Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps.

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer who will work in a start-up environment to develop a health-technology SAAS product. As a senior software engineer, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading the development and testing of our healthcare platform. Your primary responsibilities will include contributing to best-practice application development by writing production-grade code using the Django framework. This is a position that requires experience in bringing a product to market. Applicants with specific knowledge of FHIR are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will design and develop software for electronic medical records, making a material difference to our end-users and real-world patients.
• Excellent ability to research and troubleshoot HL7 technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and deploy fixes.
• Design, develop, and implement application modules using Django.
• Must be able to work independently in a remote position.
