What You Can Expect
The Marketing Communications Associate Manager is accountable for strategy development and execution of brand-level messaging and marketing campaigns for specified product brand segment(s). This includes project management of internal and external resources to ensure successful execution of defined communications strategies.
How You'll Create Impact
- Leads brand-level communication strategy development and execution, including marketing message development, market research, campaign tactics, performance/optimization and reporting.
- Effective collaboration to develop product marketing communication strategies with; Product and Commercial Managers, Engineers, Surgeons, Sales, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory, Clinical and Compliance required.
- Responsible for ensuring all marketing materials for assigned product(s) are finalized in accordance with the overriding communication strategy and internal procedures. This includes writing and editing content, guiding creative design, and resolving conflicting inputs during the review/approval process.
- Develops lead generation digital campaigns, including customer journey mapping, and evaluates effectiveness of marketing activities to achieve desired goals set forth within the strategy.
- Determines what marketing tactics and KPIs will be pursued in support of the communication strategy and develops marketing and advertising campaigns, where necessary.
- Leads creative briefing sessions with Product Managers, Marketing staff and external agencies
- Develops industry tradeshow displays, business segment messaging and lead generation campaign tactics, when appropriate.
- Responsible for M&A integration of marketing communications strategy and tactics in close collaboration with Corporate Communications.
- Develops materials for patient education related to responsible brand segment(s) and drives product related content for direct-to-consumer campaigns
- Ensures all projects completed for assigned brand/segment(s) stay on time and within budget, including management/ preparation of budget for responsible brand segment(s)
- Serves as Marketing Communications lead throughout New Product Introductions (NPI process) for assigned products.
- Maintains health and relevance of website, sales intranet and literature catalog content for assigned brands.
- Develops and maintains a moderate to advanced level of product knowledge for assigned product brands to communicate product details effectively for external audiences.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Adobe, Veeva Promomats,
- Experience in managing social media accounts, running paid advertising campaigns, and analyzing campaign performance metrics.
- General knowledge of medical device business including the science, products (Zimmer Biomet and competitors), research and commercialization process, manufacturing, marketing, and sales preferred.
- Knowledge of orthopedic market, products within assigned group, surgical process, selling process, regulatory process, development process, and marketing strategies preferred.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Journalism, Communications or other related field AND Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or medical device product management OR if no degree, a minimum of 9+ years of experience in marketing, corporate communications, or medical device product management
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience preferred
