About The Team

At Zillow, we’re reimagining how people discover and shop for their next home. Whether they’re weeks, months, or years away from moving, we are here for them. As Senior Manager of Product Design for on our Mover Experience team, you will lead design across a core set of features that power the heart of our customer experience: saved searches, saved homes, co-shopping, and communications (email, push notifications, SEO). These are critical touchpoints that connect people to homes and back to Zillow.

This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role that bridges on-platform and off-platform customer journeys. You’ll work alongside product, engineering, research, data science, brand, and marketing partners to define how Zillow can engage, re-engage, and inspire customers to take their next step.

There is significant opportunity for growth in this space — both in terms of product impact and leadership. We're looking for someone who can lead through complexity, scale design quality and strategy, and elevate how we work as a team.

About The Role

YOU WILL GET TO:

  • Lead and inspire a team of product designers working on key systems such as Saved Search, Saved Homes, Notifications, and Co-Shopping.
  • Shape design strategy across on and off platform surfaces (including SEO, email, and push), ensuring cohesive customer engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate deeply with peer leaders in design, product, engineering, and marketing to align vision and execution across Zillow’s broader ecosystem.
  • Drive clarity in ambiguity — creating structure, setting direction, and advocating for a customer-first experience.
  • Champion accessibility, scalability, and inclusivity in design decisions, systems, and communications.
  • Mentor and grow designers through thoughtful coaching, feedback, and career development.
  • Explore innovative approaches using AI tools by creatively looking at design process and leveraging the latest technologies available.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $187,100.00 - $298,900.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

WHO YOU ARE:

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3+ years leading designers or design teams.
  • Proven ability to connect design strategy to business impact, especially in customer engagement, search/discovery, or retention surfaces.
  • Skilled at leading across the full product lifecycle — from problem framing through iterative delivery and refinement.
  • Deeply comfortable with collaboration in matrixed organizations, working across multiple teams, roadmaps, and goals.
  • Experienced in or excited by the challenge of leading co-shopping, comms/notifications, or SEO workstreams.
  • Able to think in systems and orchestrate across multiple surfaces, from mobile apps to web, email, and beyond.
  • Clear, empathetic communicator with executives, peers, and your team.
  • Attention to detail and an eye for moments of joy in your product design execution.
  • A vision forward thinker with the ability to take a large, bold plan and make it a reality through storytelling, prototyping, and other design artifacts that bring our plans to life.

IN YOUR FIRST 6–12 MONTHS, YOU WILL:

  • Build trusted relationships with your team, peers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Help shape and deliver a cohesive vision for Saved Search and Saved Homes that solves real user needs and drives measurable impact.
  • Bring clarity and strategy to how we use communication channels to support customer intent and re-engagement.
  • Contribute to company-wide initiatives around touring, financing, integrated buying, and the end-to-end mover journey.
  • Identify opportunities to scale and evolve the design org’s influence across Zillow’s engagement stack.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:

This team touches nearly every Zillow customer, whether they’re casually browsing or actively touring. The systems you lead will help Zillow deliver smarter, more intuitive, and more delightful experiences, not only in product, but in how we communicate and bring people back.

If you’re excited to shape high-impact customer journeys, lead a high-performing team, and grow with Zillow’s ambitious future, then we’d love to talk to you.
